40 days of protests in Iran marked with further violence

The French News Agency reports tear bombs and violent beatings were used by anti-protest forces to disperse thousands of protesters who had gathered at the large Prayer Ground of Tehran. Citywide protests have been reported by many sources. State Security Forces have positioned themselves in various points in the city to confront the possibility that mourners marking the 40th day since the death of the recent victims at Behesht-e Zahra Cemetery march into Tehran.
