"Voice of Justice" daily loses license

The publication license of Iranian daily "Voice of Justice" has been revoked upon grounds of bearing offensive remarks toward Ayatollah Khomeini. While the managing diector of "Voice of Justice" has apologized in court for publishing those remarks, his apologies have not been accepted and the authorities have declared that such offenses warrant severe punishment. In the past month, dozens of print and electronic media have been banned or filtered. While protesting these restrictions, Reporters Without Borders declared that more than 40 journalists have been detained since the recent outbreak of protests against the election outcome. Iran is declared the largest detaining camp for reporters in the world.
