Demonstrations planned for further protests

Mehdi Karoubi has announced that people will once more reveal their power on Ghods Day, which is the last day of the month of Ramadan celebrated in many Muslim countries in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

Supporters of MirHosein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi have announced that they will participate in the demonstrations on this day to protest the outcome of the elections once more. They have called on Karoubi, Mousavi and Khatami to join the demonstrations.

In the past two months, Karoubi has repeatedly challenged the judiciary to prosecute the perpetrators of torture and violence against detained protesters. Karoubi insisted that he will persist in his path of dissent demanding government accountability for the crimes against the people. He called on political and student activists to resist the pressures to silence them.

Etemad-e Meli daily was shut down two weeks ago and Saham News Website has been filtered since yesterday. These two media outlets mainly reflected the reformist perspective of the recent events and were connected with the Karoubi camp.
