Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei told the Assembly of Experts today that those who are unwilling to accept the outcome of the tenth presidential elections have lost the “eligibility to remain in the framework of the regime.”

MirHosein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi are the two disputing candidates of the June elections who still maintain that the elections were rigged and refuse to accept the legitimacy of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s victory in the presidential race.

Mohammad Khatami, former Iranian president, is also another prominent figure in the Islamic Republic establishment that has challenged the results of the elections.

Ayatollah Khamenei claimed: “In the Islamic regime, unlike most pretenders of democracy, people’s votes are not determined by gangs of power and money. People vote according to their own decision.”

The Supreme Leader condemned the protests against the outcome of the elections once more referring to them as “sedition.” He added that those who refuse to surrender to “the will of the people” have committed a sin.
