Ahmadinejad calls for "dignified" treatment of offenders

Ahmadinejad at the meeting of Iranian Security Forces (NAJA)

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told a gathering of commanders and directors of Iranian Security forces that offenders must be treated with “dignity” but none should be spared punishment.

ILNA reports that Ahmadinejad called Iran a flag bearer of justice in the international arena adding: “Today wherever we go, waves of people express their love for the Islamic Republic and our dear Supreme Leader; even in Europe and the US.

He contended: “If they do away with censorship, it will become clear how the people of the world are enamoured of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the path of the Iranian nation.”

He maintained that the atom bomb, military invasions, the Security Council and the right to veto are “satanic” tools and condemned Islamic leaders of the world “who are signing the dirtiest and most demeaning documents.”

Ahmadinejad has often criticized the US as a failed society in its zenith and claimed that the Islamic Republic is a better and more effective alternative to the Western model.
