Iranian political activist disappears in Tehran

Hoda Saber

Iranian national-religious activist Hoda Saber has disappeared since yesterday and his wife has informed Zamaneh that he might have been kidnapped.

His wife, Saideh Jamshidi said that when Saber failed to show up at his appointment with her, she made every effort to ascertain his whereabouts but failed.

Jamshidi reported that three weeks ago, Hoda Saber was summoned to the Revolutionary court by phone but his lawyer insisted that the summons should be delivered in writing.

Reportedly Hoda Saber had indicated that he was being followed in the past weeks.

Iran’s national-religious political activists have been persecuted by the Islamic Republic in the past, a practice which seems to have been resumed in the recent months.
