Iranian MP says government has cut off parliament



Mohammadreza Khabbaz, Iranian MP announced that the government has severed all relations with the parliament.

Khabbaz indcated that the government has stopped informing the parliament of its new by-laws, which according to the constitution has to be reviewed by the parliament to avoid any violation of the law.

He added: “They say we have sent the by-laws to the parliament while in fact they haven’t.”

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s parliamentary deputy told journalists on Wednesday that the government has informed the parliament about its by-laws and they will soon issue the list of all the forwarded by-laws.

Mohammadreza Khabbaz insists that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has sworn an oath to guard the law has refused to execute an important Article of the law since March.

Iranian parliament and Ahmadinejad administration have repeatedly fallen into dispute over that past years and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has even gone as far a threatening to refrain from carrying out the parliament’s approved laws.
